pretty peonie

Every year we fall head over heals in love with peonies. Bolder than lisianthus and more romantic than roses, peonies leave a sweet after taste and lasting impression. If you do get married in November, you might be fortunate enough to boast with these bashful Victorian beauties at your wedding. You can make your pick from the softest shades of candyfloss pink to a saturated hot pink or even keep it simple and fresh with white. They add a delicate touch of femininity to your bridal bouquet or table centre pieces. Unfortunately they only bloom for 30 days each year, so to those of you who weren't so lucky to catch them on time... we hope these pics cheer you up!

Abracadabra !

Allee Bleue is definitely one of our preferred wedding venues to work at, so when Elmien van der Merwe & Andrew Davidson decided to tie the knot outside, they were surrounded by the beautiful lavender fields, which immediately set the stage for a royal reception that reinforced the colour combination of distinctive grey-silver, white and tones of purple in palettes worthy of a painter.

We teamed up with Karla Oettler from Absolute weddings which meant that inspiration was flowing abundantly as we selected the exact elements that will compliment not only the architecture of Allee Bleue, but at the same time bring soft elegance to the table décor.
In short, the aim was: “Appropriately modern yet classic, with an element of fun…”

Truly a magical combination that never loses its ability to cast a stylish spell, especially at a venue like Allee Bleue, and thanks to
Joe Dreyer, we’ve got the pictures to prove it …
